Using HPLC–MS/MS to Assess the Quality of Beet, Mizuna, Lettuce and Corn Salad after Juglone and Walnut Leaf Extract Treatments

The present study was carried out to investigate the yield, quality, and metabolomic responses of four different vegetable crops treatments with pure juglone standard walnut (Juglans regia L.) leaf extract at soil concentrations found in orchards. A total 60 phenolic compounds were identified quantified, some for first time these crop vegetables. Beta vulgaris L. Lactuca sativa less susceptible juglone. For B. showed least effects treatments. Both Brassica rapa var. japonica Valerianella locusta Laterr. lower yields, even concentration, reduced so their cultivation juglone-containing soils should be avoided. This also investigated quality ages yield vegetables grown under influence allelochemicals, determine allelochemicals on metabolomics and, thus, uptake considered beneficial human health.
